  • Congratulations to the 9th team as they came from behind to win their Old Boys cup final 3-2 against Owens. We not only played well but also behaved well against sustained provocation from their opponents.

  • An ex player and Match Secretary of the Club Mark Penfold has agreed to return to Club and manage the 1st team with immediate effect. Mark has excellent credentials in being chairman of West Essex Colts and is asst Manager at non league Redbridge. I am delighted and I hope he and his two sons who will also be involved will enjoy their time at the club.
  • Good luck to the 5ths, 6ths in their cup finals on 28 April. Title hopes still linger for the 3rds, 5ths and 6ths. Runners up are strong possibilities for the Reserves and the Vets B finally gained promotion with a narrow win over Hornminster which left them only 1 point behind champions Hale End.
  • OPFC Annual Dinner and Awards Friday 18 May at Met Police SG Chigwell. Tickets are £20 each dress code is shirt and club tie.
  • A new 3G training surface will be laid at Douglas Eyre with work commencing in May for about 10 weeks. We are looking to take on 2 sessions next season to enhance the training we give.
  • Mid March and over 90 players training on a Thursday night..we must be doing something right.
  • The club is still looking for good standard goalkeepers so if you know of anyone let me know and I will contact them. 
  • The Vets are looking for good quality players of 35 and over for next season as we have already entered a 3rd League side and want to strengthen the other two.

  • For those of you who need the Physio, Arnie Reed is at the club by appointment but you need to phone him first.He is reasonably priced and his number is 07831 769998 or 0208 802 6442. If you are injured, don't wait, get it sorted out quickly
  • Any new players wishing to join the club and start training should contact me first using the details below so that I can meet you on the night. We have 3 qualified coaches to organise the sessions and we train on a sand based astroturf with some teams using grass.
  • In addition our goalkeepers also have their own training session on grass managed by John Day, a qualified goalkeeping coach and Jason Buultjens at the same time as the other session. If you want to join in Johns number is 07813-486574
